About
BioBAT is a nonprofit life-sciences campus occupying Building A of the historic Brooklyn Army Terminal in Sunset Park, offering roughly 200,000 SF of space built out from 56,000 SF floor plates that tenants can partition into wet labs, dry labs and offices. Unlike incubators selling benches, BioBAT targets scaling companies that need large, affordable, cGMP- and BSL-2-capable footprints with industrial infrastructure — 250 lbs/sf floor loading, a 4,500 lb elevator, loading docks, redundant power and acid waste neutralization. Backed by a $50M LifeSci NYC/NYCEDC award to convert raw space into new state-of-the-art wet labs, it hosts tenants including IAVI, Biotia, Calder Biosciences and Fork & Good.
