Salt Lake City, Utah - 48 S Rio Grande Street, Salt Lake City, UT 84101

Part of The Recursion Charitable Foundation (founded by Recursion with the University of Utah's Center for Technology & Venture Commercialization)

About

Altitude Lab is a nonprofit life science accelerator founded by Recursion that houses resident startups inside the BioHive hub on Recursion's Salt Lake City campus at The Gateway. Residents get shared and private wet lab space (BSL-1/BSL-2 molecular and cell biology labs stocked with roughly $1M of equipment) plus co-working offices, on a published membership rate card — $2,250/month for a lab bench, $300–350/month for desks. Unlike a pure landlord, admission is cohort-based into a two-year milestone-driven program with pre-seed capital of $100K–$250K, an $80K fellowship stipend, and a target of getting founders to a seed round by month 18.

US
Cleveland

11000 Cedar is Case Western Reserve University's four-story, 80,000 sq ft startup incubator directly across from CWRU's main campus in Cleveland's Innovation District, with roughly 30,000 sq ft of wet lab space plus dry labs and offices. Licensing scales from a single 8-foot shared bench up to large private labs, so pre-seed founders and funded startups can sit in the same building as 30+ other health-tech ventures. Its differentiator is proximity: members get significantly discounted access to CWRU core facilities, faculty expertise and student talent, with Cleveland Clinic, University Hospitals and the Cleveland VA all within a mile.

Natick

ABI-LAB is a privately held, four-building bio-incubator and accelerator campus in Natick, MA (~137,000 rentable SF) offering move-in-ready private lab suites and office space to early-stage and scaling life science companies. Its differentiator is a free shared Innovation Lab stocked with 24+ advanced instruments (SeqStudio, Attune NxT/CytPix, EVOS M7000, QuantStudio 6 Pro, Luminex 200, KingFisher Flex and more), plus three on-site Thermo Fisher supply centers with direct billing, so founders can "move in today, start your science tomorrow." Suites are delivered on a gross lease with utilities, DI water, CO2/gas, lab wastewater removal, backup generators and BSL-1/BSL-2 capable HVAC included.

ACC Bioscience Incubator

US
Austin

The ACC Bioscience Incubator (ABI) is Austin Community College's ~9,500 sq ft wet lab incubator on the Highland Campus (the former Highland Mall), billed as Austin's only dedicated bioscience startup incubator. Founders lease benches in one of four shared labs — or one of two exclusively-leased 400 sq ft ISO 8 cleanrooms with gowning rooms and piped gas — and get access to roughly $1.6M in shared instrumentation including an Illumina MiSeq, AKTA Pure FPLC, Beckman Optima ultracentrifuge, BD Accuri C6 flow cytometer and QuantStudio 3 qPCR. It's non-dilutive (companies keep 100% of IP and equity) and plugs startups into ACC's technical student workforce, three miles from the UT Austin campus.
