Altitude Lab is a nonprofit life science accelerator founded by Recursion that houses resident startups inside the BioHive hub on Recursion's Salt Lake City campus at The Gateway. Residents get shared and private wet lab space (BSL-1/BSL-2 molecular and cell biology labs stocked with roughly $1M of equipment) plus co-working offices, on a published membership rate card — $2,250/month for a lab bench, $300–350/month for desks. Unlike a pure landlord, admission is cohort-based into a two-year milestone-driven program with pre-seed capital of $100K–$250K, an $80K fellowship stipend, and a target of getting founders to a seed round by month 18.

Aquillius is a privately run life-science and medtech innovation hub in San Diego's Rancho Bernardo area, with 25,000+ sq ft of purpose-built lab and office space under one roof. It is unusual among shared-lab providers in combining wet labs and BSL-2 cleanrooms with an on-site vivarium, analytical chemistry suites, and an ESD-safe tech/prototyping lab (3D printers, CNC, SolidWorks workstations) — so device and therapeutics startups can go from bench work to preclinical studies to prototype in the same building. BTNB (Bio, Tech and Beyond) is a North San Diego County life science incubator offering one of the cheapest entry points into professional wet lab space: $1,500/month for a dedicated 10-foot BSL-2 bench that includes a desk, -20C/-80C freezer space, DI water, liquid nitrogen and access to roughly 30 shared instruments. Founded in 2013 as a City of Carlsbad-backed incubator, it bought its own 7,000 sq ft building at 6076 Corte Del Cedro in 2019 and houses a community of ~20 resident startups. Notably, BTNB explicitly takes no rights to residents' research results, and part-time bench access can be arranged.
