The Germantown Innovation Center (GIC) is one of four county-run incubators in Montgomery County's Business Innovation Network, and the network's dedicated life sciences facility — 32,000 sq ft containing 16 wet labs averaging ~500 sq ft, two modular Class 100 cleanrooms, and 40 offices and office suites, with capacity for roughly 30 startups on flexible terms with no long-term lease obligation. It sits on the Pinkney Innovation Complex for Science and Technology (PIC MC) at Montgomery College, giving tenants adjacency to the college's biotech training and research facilities. The site carries Maryland RISE Zone designation, and tenants get county-provided business consulting, legal/accounting and IP commercialization resources, plus access to state and county funding programs.
