MBI is a nonprofit biotech incubator that has run Worcester's life sciences cluster since 2000, offering roughly 65,000 sq ft of private BL2 lab space across a deliberate three-stage ladder: 31 StartUp labs (100–500 sq ft), 11 ScaleUp lab/office suites (600–3,000 sq ft), and 10 spaces in a newly opened Pilot Biomanufacturing Center for process development and early clinical manufacturing.
