The Murrieta Innovation Center (MIC) is a city-owned life sciences incubator in southwest Riverside County, established by the City of Murrieta and now operated in partnership with Impact Southwest Riverside County. A $2.4M U.S. EDA grant funded a major build-out of a new state-of-the-art wet lab, a new dry lab, and renovated offices, meeting rooms and presentation space, which reopened with a grand opening on April 20, 2026. It is an unusually low-cost, mission-driven option for early-stage biotech, medtech and diagnostics founders — including a genuinely free "Virtual Tenant" tier for startups worldwide who want a Southern California incubator affiliation, business address and mentor network without relocating.
